August Empties

I finally moved to my new house! I took this picture before I moved so I wouldn't have to travel with trash. Anything I finish before the end of the month will just get rolled over into the September empties. I got some bigger items out, so I'm happy I didn't have to move them. ~ Creme Shop "Wake Up, Skin" sheet mask - felt nice on the skin, but nothing fabulous. Would not repurchase. ~ Sephora "Rose" eye mask - again, felt nice, but nothing special. I usually purchase these when I want to get point perks from the Sephora website, so I'll probably end up getting another. ~ Sephora "Pearl" face mask - same as above review. I'm not a huge sheet mask believer. ~ True Blue Spa hand scrub - I've had this for I don't even know how long. I used it mostly as a hand scrub, but also as a general body scrub. It was nice, and I might get another scrub. I don't know if this brand still exists or where it's sold, but I'll g

Finish 5 by Fall

It looks like the first day of Autumn is September 22, so this is more of a "Get As Much Progress As I Can on 5 by Fall," but that's not nearly as catchy. 1) Bobbi Brown crushed lip color "Babe" - this is a brighter pink that's great for summer, so I'd like to see some use out of it. 2) Becca SSP pressed "Moonstone" - I've already hit pan on this and repressed it. I'd at least like to hit pan in it again by the time the project is over. 3) hit pan in "Lula" in my ABH Master Palette by Mario - this is the taupe shade I've been using as a transition color. There's a nice dip, but I really want to see pan. 4) finish "Cream" in my original Lorac Pro palette - I've already repressed this, and have since hit pan. I think it would be reasonable to try to finish this one. 5) Ole Henriksen eye cream - this expires at the end of September, so I'd like to get as much use out of it as possible

Healthy Habits Challenge - July 2018

I'm restructuring how I'm setting this up, partly due to my lagging motivation once I fell too far behind. So bear with me as I make some changes. If you have any suggestions, let me know! Recap: I'm trying to cut down on my makeup spending as a hobby, and starting to focus more on hobbies and habits that are better for me. I give myself money towards makeup spending (ratios in parentheses below) for each good habit I'm trying to form. Purchases: ~ I bought the Nars powermatte liquid lipstick in "Don't Stop", described as a geranium red. I won't count it towards my totals since I used a gift card. I just wanted to include it here so I can own up to not finishing No Buy July (I bought it on the 30th, whoops). There's been some moving drama, and some kind friends got me a Sephora gift card for some self-love - long story short, I don't feel bad about this purchase. Books read ($1 per 100 pages) ~ Salt to the Sea  by Ruta Sepetys - 400 pag
