6 By Spring Project Pan - Update #2

I went on vacation for a week this past month. During that week, I a) didn't bring all the project items with me and b) didn't wear makeup all that month. ~ Tarte Tartelette in Bloom: man, these pans are firmly pressed. Or I don't wear enough eyeshadow. Probably a combination of the two. Same dips in the same shades, except maybe slightly deeper? I tried. ~ NARS Audacious lipstick "Anita": I was hoping to get through the "R" and into the "S" on the side of the bullet. Clearly, I didn't get there. Probably won't finish this in the month I have left, but I'm happy to see steady progress. ~ Bite multistick "Gelato": After giving this a closer I look, I'm beginning to question the progress line I drew last month. I feel like I junked up the sides of it, but have made no progress on the top (except some weird hard pan-like buildup). I'm getting a little bored of it, so I didn't bring this with me on vac

January Empties

Maybe it's due to the amount of samples/foils I went through, but this looked like SO MUCH MORE when it was just living in the bag I collect my empties in. I'm making more of an effort to clear out my backlog of foils, samples, deluxe sizes, etc. A good chunk of my bathroom storage is dedicated to it, and I'd like to clear some space. ~ YSL Black Opium sample - It got a little cut off, but you've seen this in here pretty much every month, so I don't think you're missing too much. ~ Juliette Has a Gun "Mmmm" -This has a nice sweet/fruity scent, but it wore down to smell kind of powdery on me. One of the notes is neroli, and that typically has that effect on me. Would not purchase a larger size. ~ L'Oreal infallible pro-matte foundation "101 Classic Ivory" - spoiler for the project pan, I finished this about 2 days after posting the update. I'll most likely repurchase this foundation, just not yet. My Ulta is usually out of st

Healthy Habits Challenge - January 2019

I'm letting my total money available roll over from last year (because I'm in the positives and don't need an excuse to hit "refresh"). These posts will now also serve as a brief update on the status of the No-Buy. Purchases: ~ Cover FX Power Play foundation, Mario Badescu glycolic foaming cleanser - $56.29 - I had a moment of weakness due to a bad day and a too-tempting Ulta Beauty Break. Ironically on the day I posted my no-buy intro. Good job, Maggie. I'll get back to the no-buy again for February. No way but forward. ~ I also got a replacement loofah at Ulta, but that doesn't count. A) it's a straightforward replacement; B) it's a hygiene tool, like buying another toothbrush when one gets worn out. Books read ($1 per 100 pages) ~ Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda  by Becky Albertalli - 312 pages ($3.12) ~ Empire of Storms  by Sarah J Maas - 691 pages ($6.91) ~ Tempests and Slaughter  by Tamora Pierce - 480 pages ($4.80) Exercise ($5
