5 by Fall Project Pan - Intro

Okay, so the first day of summer was about a week ago - I'm late, it's fine. In a shocking turn from my prior alliterative projects with six products, I'm beginning an alliterative project with five products. This project will go from now to the first day of Fall (September 23rd). Let's go. 1) Stila Glitter & Glow in the shade "Smoldering Satin" - I've had this for a while, and after having a mini dry up on me I'm worried this will too. This will be a very sparkly summer. From the mark on the side, I'd say I have about 60% left. 2) Grande lips hydrating lip plumper mini - It's a clear lip gloss that's mildly tingly and mildly moisturizing. Hopefully I can finish this up and move it out. 3) NARS velvet matte lip pencil in the shade "Let's Go Crazy" - This is a bright, fun fuchsia that I feel only really works on me in the summer. I want to get as much use out of it as I can during its' wear period. Since t

Pan those Eyeshadows project pan - June 2019 update

For the past month, I've been focusing on using five randomly-chosen eyeshadow shades in my collection with the intent of hitting more pan throughout my collection. The shadows I used May-June were: 1) "Naked" from Urban Decay Naked 2) "Toasted" from Urban Decay Naked 3) "Burnt Orange" from Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam 4) "Pewter" from Lorac Pro 5) "Muse" from Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario This is the part where I show pictures of slightly deeper dips and ask you to clap for me. 1) "Naked" - The dip is getting a bit bigger, I think. I've continued using this as my transition shade and to line under my eyes. This will take a while. 2) "Toasted" - Yep, this'll take a while too. Another tightly-pressed shade that was practically untouched at the beginning of the project. I'm enjoying using this as my shimmery lid shade, but I was all-too-ready to ditch it to use &qu

Empties - May 2019

I finished one makeup item, and was able to move out more skincare and perfume samples. Slow but steady progress! (top row, left to right) ~ Olly x Sephora Collection skin detox gummy vitamins - I know what you're thinking, yes they're vitamins not makeup/skincare/etc. BUT I bought them from Sephora during the sale and they came out of my beauty budget, so they're going in the empties! I didn't see any results from these (color us all surprised), so I would not repurchase. ~ Drunk Elephant C-Tango eye cream deluxe sample - This was nicely hydrating for the daytime, but I didn't see any thrilling results so I don't think I'd repurchase at this time (so expensive), but I'd happily use another sample. ~ First Aid Beauty acne clearing charcoal cleanser - No acne improvement, okay cleanser but not my favorite. Would not repurchase. ~ Philosophy purity cleanser foil - I keep acquiring these and thus keep using them up. No complaints, no raves. I still

Healthy Habits Challenge - May 2019

For those who haven't seen this recurring post explained - I have a system in which I have to "earn" the money I spend on makeup by doing activities that are better for my mental health than buying & applying makeup and consuming makeup-related media. I can buy whatever I want, it just has to be within the budget. I recently decreased the amount I earned from exercise since it was adding up fairly quickly and was burning a hole in my pocket, so to speak. Here's how I did for May! Purchases: ~ Ulta: Urban Decay x Game of Thrones eyeliner "Lannister Gold" and eyeshadow brush shaped like Arya's sword, "Needle"; L'Oreal infallible pro matte foundation "101 Classic Ivory" - $68 ~ Sephora: pineapple nose mask, purchased to get shipping for point perks; Point perks: NARS powermatte liquid lipstick "American Woman," Bobbi Brown crushed liquid lip "Smoothie Move" and Sunday Riley A+ retinol - $3 ~ Sephora Play!
