5 by Fall Project Pan - Update #1

I've made a lot of encouraging progress on the five products I picked last month. I even finished one product and rolled in another. I used my progress sheet as a backdrop, so you can have a little perspective on how much progress I made. 1) Stila Glitter & Glow "Smoldering Satin" - It's a good thing I'm not trying to finish this one. Because I will not. Up until recently I applied this by slathering the doe foot right across my eyelid, resulting in a ton of sparkle and a ton of fallout. I used one of my flatter brushes to paint it on, and it looks so much better that way. Still not an everyday look, but a little more tame. 2) Grande Lips hydrating lip plumper mini - Lots of progress! I've been applying this as a lip balm, and I think I can use it up before the next update. 3) NARS velvet matte lip pencil "Let's Go Crazy" - I've been liking this lip color with the orange eyeshadow I'm working on in my Pan Those Eyeshadows

Pan those Eyeshadows Project Pan - July 2019 update

In April 2019 I chose five eyeshadows with a randomizer app that I'd use consistently until hitting pan. As I hit pan, I roll those shadows out and randomly choose others to replace them. Over the past month, I've had two eyeshadow looks I bounce back and forth between - super orange and super neutral. Once we get into the five eyeshadows I had to work with, you'll see why. 1) "Naked" from Urban Decay Naked 2) "Toasted" from Urban Decay Naked 3) "Burnt Orange" from Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam 4) "Chauffeur" from Colourpop Yes Please 5) the "definer" shade on the left side of Wet n Wild Comfort Zone  1) "Naked" - The saga continues. This lives here now. 2) "Toasted" - I think the dip is getting deeper? This was the lid shade for the neutral look, and I'm still enjoying this. 3) "Burnt Orange" - Why is this still here? Everyone who talks about how easy it is to pan AB

Empties - June 2019

This past month, I came for my skincare foil samples with a vengeance. So this empties is, as always, mostly skincare with a little bit of makeup and haircare. ~ Exuviance performance peel - This is a two step kind of deal with an activated pad and a neutralizer pad. This sample contained one use, and I didn't see much of a change. I'm also in my 20s and am probably not the target audience. Wouldn't repurchase at this time. ~ boscia Clarifying Detox mask - Clay mask that dries on your face - meh. My skin felt maybe a little cleaner, but no other improvements. It was nice to use, but I probably wouldn't buy this again. I bought it at TJ Maxx a while ago, so goodness knows how old it is. ~ Mango Coconut Guava lotion - I have two sets of mini lotions like this from my family. So you can expect to see more little bottles like this. It smelled nice and has a thin texture, which is nice for the summer. I have seven more of these, so no need to repurchase anything righ

Healthy Habits Challenge - June 2019

Every month I post an update on how I did with "earning" my makeup budget money, and also how I spent it. Purchases: ~ Kevyn Aucoin Neo Highlighter "Sahara" - $19 - from Marshall's, it was on my "someday" list, then it disappeared from Sephora. So I snatched it up when I saw it. ~ Sally Hansen base coat & nail polish; Seche Vite top coat - $20 ~ When sunscreen was 6x points at Ulta, I bought 2 more spray-on sunscreens, but those don't count from this budget since it's a "necessity" that both my husband and I use. ~ I was able to pair my Ulta 20% off coupon with the 40% Too Faced Tutti Frutti collection, so I had a bit of fun at Ulta - lip gloss in the shade "Show Me Your Coconuts" and the "Party Ready Essentials" set that includes a full size Better Than Sex mascara, full size lip gloss in "Grin and Bare It," full size banana cream setting powder, and a mini pineapple sun bronzer - with the comb
