Weekly Makeup Basket - Sept 30, 2018

Thanks to my eyeshadow palette choice, it's been a pretty colorful week. Base products: ~ Too Faced hangover Rx primer mini ~ L'Oreal ProMatte foundation "101 classic ivory" ~ NARS radiant creamy concealer "Vanilla" ~ Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi serum (sample, used to darken the foundation a bit) ~ Too Faced peach mist setting spray ~ Tarte smooth operator loose setting powder Face products: ~ Becca highlighter "Rose Quartz" ~ Tarte blush "Paaarty" ~ Benefit Hoola Lite bronzer ~ Benefit Watts Up Eye products: ~ Urban Decay Elements palette - I just got this and couldn't wait to try it out. The colors are beautiful, but they apply much better with fingers than with brushes - I prefer to use brushes because I'm prissy and don't like to get dirty. I've enjoyed experimenting with a variety of different color combos. ~ ABH Master Palette by Mario & Tarte Tartelette in Bloom - kept in the basket in case I need...

September 2018 Empties

Since the September empties overlapped with a little bit of August, this was quite the spread of used products! I worked through a lot of samples, and decluttered a few products as well. I'll do the empty products first: Skincare: ~ Sephora pineapple face mask: this felt nice and refreshing on my face. Would maybe repurchase. ~ Shiseido ultimate sun protection lotion: light, smooth sunscreen. I would consider purchasing this one. I tried one in the past that was thicker and white, while this one is thin and pinky - need to make sure I would be repurchasing the right one. ~ Supergoop everyday sunscreen: basic face sunscreen, no complaints ~ Tarte tarteguard sunscreen: hated it. packaging was non-functional (pump doesn't pump), it's thick, and it's heavily scented. Would not purchase. ~ Tatcha deep cleanse: exfoliating cleanser, that left my face feeling clean without feeling stripped. I don't know if I need to exfoliate every day, but I enjoyed using this. ...

Pan that Palette September 2018 Update

I hit pan on "Muse"! And the pan in "Marina" looks slightly bigger than my last update. I'm obviously not going to finish this by the end of the year and panning palettes may not really be my jam. Anyhow, here's what the palette looks like now: Goals going forward: ~ see more use on "Bronx" and "Violeta" ~ hit pan on "Lula" ~ side pan on "Paris"

Finish 5 by Fall - finale

I know this was a short project, but here are my results! 1) Bobbi Brown "Babe" has lived in my purse this month. I think I applied it a few times, but I did pitifully on this product. I ended up being more drawn to my Buxom VaVa Plump in "wine me" which is a dark pink/berry and that should be done in a few days. So some  lip product progress, but not as much as intended. Not enough progress to show a picture. Also I forgot what purse I put it in. Oops. 2) Becca SSP pressed "Moonstone" - I can see the pan, but that might be due more to air bubbles from repressing rather than true progress. 3) ABH Master Palette by Mario, "Lula" - still no pan. I'm going to keep using it as part of my Pan that Palette, so stay tuned. 4) finish "cream" from the original Lorac Pro - complete! I can't reach the little bits in the corners with my brush anymore, and I can't be bothered to repress that little for a second time. 5) ...
