The youtubers are uploading their updates, so here I am, tagging along for update #1! I think I had a pretty successful first month. I also used mostly deluxe sized samples, but eh, I'll take the morale boost.
~ Fire item: Firecracker from the Tartelette in Bloom palette. My goal for the first update was to wear down some of the lettering on it, and I made a decent-looking dent in the first few letters! I'm more of a stab my brush in one place until I see the pan kind of person rather than an even use kind of person, so I probably won't wear down the other letters. I've been wearing this as my lid shade for most of the days I wear makeup, so my next goal is to continue doing that. I suspect I might start to get sick of it, so hopefully I'll be able to keep going with it.
~ Ice item: Tarte smooth operator loose setting powder (deluxe sample size). My goal for this update was to be able to make another line to mark my progress. Unfortunately, the way I get the product out by tapping it on the back wore off the first line. So I'll make a new line, and I'm pretty sure I've made some good progress. I want to try to finish this off before the next update.
~ Dr Jart sunscreen deluxe sample. I've been using this every day as my face/ear/neck sunscreen and it's starting to sputter a little bit when I try to squirt it out. Hopefully I'll also be able to finish this guy up by the next update.
~ Garnier Fructis dry shampoo. I haven't been using it that often, but I enjoy it when I do. It has a light scent and doesn't leave my hair looking powdery where I spray it. However, I think it's more of a volumizing dry shampoo rather than an oil-absorbing one, so it's not my ideal.
~ 2 perfume samples: I successfully finished 2 samples of Marc Jacobs Daisy! I still have a deluxe size dabber bottle and one more spray sample - my goal for the next update is to get more use out of the dabber since I find it hard to remember to use those.
~ Laura Mercier radiance primer deluxe sample - finished! I enjoyed this, but I'm happy to be moving on to another product. I've been using a deluxe sample of the Dior Dreamskin something or other. I'm honestly not sure what it's supposed to do, but one of my youtubers uses it as a primer, so that's what I'm doing. No ragrets so far. In fact, I actually kind of like it! Which is bad, since the full size is $115, which ain't happening.
