This wasn't as successful as past months have been. But I seem to be nearing the end of my supply of deluxe-sized skincare, which is nice. I made an effort to push through them this summer as I'm moving in with my fiancee and thus my lifestyle of having to fit all my skincare in a travel bag is coming to an end. Anyway, here's a photo of my empties this month with mini-reviews to follow.
(clockwise from pink box upper left)
~ Sephora sleeping mask in Pearl: this is supposed to be "perfecting and brightening." I just used it like a thickly-applied night moisturizer, and I didn't notice a huge difference. I might buy one of these again if I need to reach a certain amount for online shopping.
~ Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud cleanser deluxe sample: this was okay, my face felt clean, not a fan of the packaging with having to shake and smack it out towards the end.
~ Tory Burch Love Relentlessly perfume sample: this was a bit too floral for me, would not purchase a larger size
~ Marc Jacobs Daisy eau so fresh: not a huge fan. Again too floral, and I liked the fruity-floral of the regular Daisy perfume. Would not purchase in a larger size.
~ Clinique roller eye balm thing: not sure if I used it up or it dried out. I enjoyed it while it lasted. Might repurchase if I run out of eye cream.
~ Origins perfect world moisturizer: did not like. the scent was okay, but it made me feel greasy, and made my foundation look super greasy. I liked that it was a spf moisturizer though.
~ Olay regenerist: used it up in one use. How am I supposed to assess results off of that? Still bitter that this was one of the samples from an online order from Ulta.
~ Bumble and Bumble don't blow it sample (unmarked sephora sample): I like this! It gave me easy beachy waves. I have 2 other deluxe sized samples, so no need to repurchase at this time.
~ Drunk Elephant lala cream sample: I liked using this as a night moisturizer, it felt hydrating without being too heavy. Probably would not repurchase just because it's so expensive and I have other moisturizers I like.
~ Philosophy Purity cleanser samples x2: I enjoy using this cleanser, and I'm not mad to get samples of it. I don't think I'm excited enough to go out and buy it. Partly because of all the samples that get thrown around, also because it's pricey for a slightly boring cleanser.
