Project Use It Up - June/July Update

I've moved out of my apartment, and have not yet moved out of the state. I've been referring to this period as my "time as a transient hobo" in which I bounce from a friend's house to my parents' place. This is my last stage before I make the big move, so probably the last update before the "finale" in August. I know that pictures of my checklist might not be that interesting, but it helps keep me motivated to use things up.

Those top three are just hanging on. I doubt I'll be able to finish the orange spray, but I'm really trying. Still no idea what it's supposed to do. I am seeing an end to the lip gloss though - there are some lasting clear parts in the tube, and it's getting harder to apply. The hand scrub, charcoal scrub, and micellar water are also on their last bits, so I have high hopes for them as well. I'm not sure what else I'll add after that, honestly.

Overall it's been nice to work through some of the older items and some of the things I have backups for. I really don't appreciate moving with things I don't really like.

Healthy Habits Challenge - February 2020

I have the habit of spending too much of my money on makeup, and spending too much of my time browsing for makeup and consuming makeup-related media. To counteract this, I make myself "earn" my makeup budget by doing things that are better for my mental and physical health. December Empties

I finished 7 products in December, including 1 makeup product instead of all skincare! ~ Clinique take the day off cleansing balm sephora sample: It was odorless, and just oily enough to efficiently remove my eye makeup and mascara. Bonus, it didn't irritate my eyes. I got the full size for Christmas, but I'm going to try to make some progress on my Pond's cream before I crack into it. ~ Peter Thomas Roth pumpkin enzyme mask sample: I got the pack of deluxe sizes to try, and this mask took so long to finish, I'd never buy a full size. It smelled just like a pumpkin treat, so I enjoyed using it up in the fall/winter. ~ Too Cool for School egg mellow cream lotion: I used this as my morning moisturizer. It had a faintly sweet-lemon scent, which I enjoyed. A Rambly Intro

"Come on, girl! You only have one face!" It's what I tell myself when I start aimlessly shopping for makeup. In the last year, I developed a bit of a shopping addiction, specifically makeup shopping.Writing a blog is my effort to keep myself accountable to start focusing less on buying. I'm going to focus more on using, first and foremost, and then on adding thoughtfully to my makeup wardrobe. This blog is most likely going to be my online makeup-focused diary. I don't have that many people to discuss this with in real life. And somehow posting a blog feels more anonymous than posting on reddit.
