Pan those Eyeshadows Project Pan - August 2019 update

This update is a little later than I've been trying to post for this project because it took me forever to make any kind of meaningful progress. I was thiiiiis close to not posting an update at all. BUT I hit pan on one shadow at the last minute, so here we are. Here are the five shadows I worked with last month: 1) "Naked" from Urban Decay Naked 2) "Toasted" from Urban Decay Naked 3) "Burnt Orange" from Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam 4) "Chauffeur" from Colourpop Yes Please 5) "Sin" from Urban Decay Naked 1&2) "Naked" & "Sin" - Sin has been my inner corner highlight shade, and I've been enjoying it for that, but I worry it will be a little too cool-toned to go with the orange looks I'll probably be doing for the next month. Meanwhile, Naked is still trucking along. There's still a nice-looking dip at the top, but it might be a few more months before I see pan on this, unfortunately...

5 by Fall Project Pan 2019 - Update #2

Spoiler alert: I finished all the products I anticipated I could finish. I'm happy to see some extra progress on my remaining items as well. I decided not to make this a rolling project - I'm just going to enjoy focusing on the products I want when I want to see some natural progress before I start focusing on fall products in a month. 1) Stila Glitter&Glow "Smoldering Satin" - I've been wearing this at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. So I've been glittery at the grocery store, at the gym, and at home with my cat. But I'm using it. The window on the side it getting a bit larger, but it's a bit hard to see progress for sure. This won't be done by the end of the project, but I'm hoping for a bit more progress. 2) Grande Lips hydrating lip plumper mini - Finished! There's still a little bit left at the bottom, but I can't pick it up with the doe foot and I can't get the stopper out. I can't see myself repurch...

Empties - July 2019

There are actually some makeup products in here this month! And I've pretty much made it through most of my skincare foil packets, so now there will be slower progress as I make it through my deluxe sizes. Here's everything I finished up last month: ~ Garnier micellar water - I use this on a cotton pad to wash my face in the morning, and I've already repurchased this. ~ Too Cool for School egg cream mask - This was a nice sheet mask, but I don't think I would deliberately repurchase this. ~ Lancome Monsieur Big mascara - I really liked how much volume this gave me, and I would get this again. Unfortunately, I didn't finish this so much as I dropped it on the floor wand-down and had to stop using it. ~ Urban Decay perversion mascara - This one I did actually finish, or at least used for over three months until it got junky. I enjoy the volume on this one too, and I doesn't usually make my lashes feel heavy. I still have another mini of this one, so no...

Healthy Habits Challenge - July 2019

I have the habit of spending too much of my money on makeup, and spending too much of my time browsing for makeup and consuming makeup-related media. To counteract this, I make myself "earn" my makeup budget by doing things that are better for my mental and physical health. Here's how I did for the month of July. Purchases: ~ I got a haircut (long needed, but not out of this budget) and also bought two travel size hair products - $10 ~ I left my hairbrush at an Airbnb on a trip, so I had to buy a new brush. I also bought more micellar water. - $12.48 ~ I placed a Sephora order to get a point perk, Laura Mercier mini caviar stick in "amethyst", so I bought my husband dental floss which doesn't come out of this budget. ~ "Mountain Trail" eyeshadow bundle from Sydney Grace Cosmetics - As of this writing, I haven't yet gotten this in the mail, but I'm excited. I've been waiting for the green eyeshadow trend to bring me this combinatio...
