Products I've Hit Pan On

The last time I posted something like this was in February 2018 If you'd like to read or re-read that post, click on this text.

Here are the items that currently have pan - for a comparison between the last post and now, look after the pictures.

~ NYX "Ritualistic" highlighter - pan on this has definitely expanded since the last update, and it's still one of my favorite highlighters

~ Revlon "Naughty Nude" blush - The pan has also increased on this product. I have so much blush in my collection compared to the last post, that I think it'll take a long time before I hit pan on any other blush.

~ Benefit "Hoola Lite" bronzer - For such a substantially-sized pan, I'm surprised this wasn't in the last post, honestly.

~ Colourpop "Bouncy" super shock shadow

~ Colourpop "Fluffy" super shock shadow

~ Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario - pan on "NYC" "Kim" "Muse" "Marina" "Lula" "5th Ave" "Bronx" and "Paris" - Since this was my Pan That Palette in 2018, all that pan makes total sense. I wish all ABH shimmers had this formula (soft and pigmented and applies beautifully with a brush)

~ Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette - Pan on "Tempera" and "Burnt Orange"

~ Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette - pan on "Rose Quartz"

~Lorac Pro palette - pan on "White" "Taupe" "Nude" "Champagne" "Pewter" and "Espresso" - "Cream" has been finished - This is one of my older palettes, so I'm hoping to make more progress on this one while it still performs well.

~ Lorac Mega Pro 3 palette - pan on "Pink Cream" - There's not a lot of progress on this since the last post.

~ Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette - pan on "Charmer" "Flower Child" "Smarty Pants" "Funny Girl" and "Firecracker"

~ Urban Decay Naked palette - pan on "Naked" and "Toasted"

2018:
~ 9 eye shadows
~ 1 setting powder
~ 1 blush
~ 2 highlighters

2019
~ 28 eyeshadows
~ 1 blush
~ 1 highlighter
~ 1 bronzer
1 setting powder and 1 highlighter from 2018 have since been finished completely and are no longer part of my collection.

Since my collection has grown, I've been feeling like I'm not making any progress on my products. It's nice to see that I'm at least making some progress on my eyeshadow panning. I'm going to keep working my way through my collection - at this point I don't have any specific usage goals, but I'll be sure to update with any future project pans!

Healthy Habits Challenge - February 2020

I have the habit of spending too much of my money on makeup, and spending too much of my time browsing for makeup and consuming makeup-related media. To counteract this, I make myself "earn" my makeup budget by doing things that are better for my mental and physical health. Here's how I did for the month of February: Purchases: ~ I bought a birthday gift for a friend at Ulta - does not come out of budget ~ I repurchased my husband some dental floss (does not come out of this budget) at Sephora and got a Bobbi Brown lip gloss as a point perk - $0 ~ I purchased a full size of YSL Libre perfume since I loved the sample so much (giving myself grace on this purchase this month) and got the UD brow enhancer brow gel in "Brunette Betty" on sale (counts as a replacement since I destashed my other brow gel when it went bad) ~ ABH Jackie Aina palette - it was on sale at Sephora - I used a $20 gift card so I spent $14.10 Books read ($1 per 100 pages) ~ Cress  by M...

December Empties

I finished 7 products in December, including 1 makeup product instead of all skincare! ~ Clinique take the day off cleansing balm sephora sample: It was odorless, and just oily enough to efficiently remove my eye makeup and mascara. Bonus, it didn't irritate my eyes. I got the full size for Christmas, but I'm going to try to make some progress on my Pond's cream before I crack into it. ~ Peter Thomas Roth pumpkin enzyme mask sample: I got the pack of deluxe sizes to try, and this mask took so long to finish, I'd never buy a full size. It smelled just like a pumpkin treat, so I enjoyed using it up in the fall/winter. ~ Too Cool for School egg mellow cream lotion: I used this as my morning moisturizer. It had a faintly sweet-lemon scent, which I enjoyed. The pump was nice, but I didn't know how much I had left until I went to pump it and it was empty :( ~ Clinique Welcome Wednesday deluxe lipstick from Christmas 2015: finally! I loved the brown-pink color, bu...

December 2018 Empties

Y'all. This month looks pitiful compared to past months. I suspect it's because I've mainly been using full-sized skincare so I'm not blazing through as much as I have been. ~ It cosmetics secret sauce moisturizer sample - was a little too much for my oily skin. would not repurchase. ~ Mario Badescu herbal rehydrating serum sample set - this was a gel moisturizer, so it's no surprise that I liked this one. Might try it again in the future, but I have a lot of moisturizer to go through first. ~ 2 Sephora samples of Commodity Gold perfume - this is a warm, sweet scent that I really enjoy and I currently have a travel-size spray. ~ Living Proof perfect hair day shampoo - if you remember when I finished the conditioner, you'll recall that I hated this pair of shampoo and conditioner and I used it up as a shaving cream. Would not repurchase. ~ Estee Lauder sumptuous infinite mascara - this has a plastic bristle brush, which I normally don't like, but...
